We are seeking a talented SAP Finance Functional Consultant with Insurance background and FSCD skillset to become a critical member of Deloitte’s growing SAP Operate practice. This role will be at consultant level and will require you to work on client sites across AU, supporting them on day-to-day operations and continuous improvements.
What will your typical day look like?
You log into ServiceNow or Jira – on client site, at our office or WFH - to check the status of your client engagement(s). You will work with your service team members in Australia, New Zealand, India and across the globe to help our clients innovate on their SAP platform, optimise their solution and the delivery of our services You’ll work with Deloitte and Client leaders to provide regular analytical and insight reports on our services and their systems.
You’ll be working with SAP ERP solutions like ECC, S/4HANA Public and Private cloud designing, building, testing, and deploying Finance incident resolutions and changes. You will also be proactively contributing to the innovation and improvements to the client Finance processes.
In collaboration with our SAP solution experts and business consultants, you’ll prepare for your quarterly client innovation workshop, highlighting new SAP capabilities and recommending innovative solutions. You with your team will be continuously looking for opportunities to incorporate AI to optimise and automate service delivery, freeing up time to focus on value creation.
You will support our SAP leadership team to develop new service solutions, support proposal creation and present our capabilities to clients. You meet up with your fellow service management expert community locally and globally to share experiences and optimise our service models, tools, and procedures.
Your key areas of responsibility are:
Full ownership and governance of SAP application management services for the Finance stream for your client(s)
Onshore point of escalation for your clients and your team members for issues in Finance.
Oversee and guide incident assessment, end-to-end resolution, and ensure compliance with service levels and other obligations.
Establish and manage a collaborative and trusted account relationship with your client counterpart, the client’s leadership team, business, and IT team members.
Support our business development and proposal creation activities.
Support recruiting and development of your team members in a true one-team spirit
Provide training to users and fellow consultants.
Outside of your client facing and advisory work, you will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Deloitte’s SAP Operate practice. We are looking for leaders of the future, and we offer training to ensure every Consultant has the potential to make it to the top. Our local SAP Operate team is highly capable, and you will be help us to attract, hire and grow expert service staff for our local and global delivery centres. Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You will ideally have previous experience working in a consulting environment, with strong client relationship and service delivery skills. Additionally, you will have the following:
Experienced and well versed in SAP ECC experience on FICA and FSCD modules
Advanced understanding of best practice processes in SAP Finance.
Experience in Insurance industry
Strong understanding of SAP cross-functional integration, specifically with Supply Chain and Asset Management modules.
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of Group Reporting and basic debugging skills.
You know standards like ITIL and are familiar with ITSM tools like ServiceNow
You are well versed with ITSM processes like Release Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management…(just to name a few)
Experience in end-to-end solution delivery from requirement gathering through to production deployment.
Ability to work in large multidisciplinary teams in a virtual and physical presence.
Nice to have exposure or experience in S/4HANA Finance
