Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Project Manager
Position Summary
The SAP S/4HANA Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, and transformation projects. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages system integrators, and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting quality, compliance, and business objectives. The SAP S/4 Project Manager partners with business and IT stakeholders to drive enterprise ERP modernization initiatives using SAP Activate and hybrid agile delivery methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Governance
• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Landscape Transformation).
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and dependency tracking.
• Establish PMO governance including RAID management, executive reporting, and steering committee cadence.
• Manage scope, timeline, and budget using formal change control processes.
Delivery Leadership
• Lead cross-functional teams including functional, technical, integration, data, testing, and security workstreams.
• Manage system integrators, offshore/onshore teams, and third-party vendors including SOW oversight and deliverable acceptance.
• Oversee SAP Activate phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Hypercare.
Stakeholder & Executive Management
• Serve as primary point of accountability for executive stakeholders.
• Provide clear, concise executive communications and dashboards.
• Facilitate executive steering committees and senior leadership reviews.
Testing, Cutover & Go-Live
• Direct test strategy including SIT, UAT, and integration testing coordination.
• Lead cutover planning, mock cutovers, go-live readiness assessments, and hypercare execution.
• Ensure business readiness, training coordination, and operational transition planning.
Risk, Quality & Compliance Management
• Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies; implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards.
• Drive quality assurance, solution validation, and continuous improvement.
Change Management & Adoption
• Partner with OCM teams to support business readiness, communications, and training.
• Ensure alignment between technology delivery and business process transformation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–15+ years of SAP delivery experience, including 5+ years managing SAP S/4HANA projects.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
• Strong experience managing system integrators and global delivery teams.
• Deep knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAP Activate Project Manager Certification
• PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications
• Experience in ECC → S/4HANA migration programs
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, and testing tools.
• Industry experience: Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Utilities, Transportation
