ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The SAP Technical Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance SAP technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategy. This role provides architectural leadership across SAP landscapes, ensures best practices in system integration and development, and partners closely with functional, infrastructure, security, and business teams. You will collaborate with functional teams to deliver customized, scalable SAP solutions, leveraging expertise in ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and integration with both cloud and on-premise systems.
A key requirement of this role is adherence to the "clean core" principle and utilize SAP Extensibility concepts such as side-by-side extensions and leveraging BTP for custom development to maintain a clean SAP core where feasible. This position requires proficiency in SAP DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (ABAP Unit), and SAP ATC for quality control. Experience with Git, Jenkins, SAP Fiori Elements, SAP Gateway, and integration via SAP BTP is essential. You'll also work on performance tuning with SAP HANA and develop AI-driven automation solutions using SAP AI Core and SAP AI Foundation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Define and own end-to-end SAP technical architecture across systems (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, TM,ATTP,GTS BTP, PI/PO, CPI, Fiori).
Design scalable, secure, and resilient SAP solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation.
Evaluate and recommend SAP technologies, tools, and platforms. Adhere to the "clean core" principle by decoupling custom code from SAP’s digital core, using released APIs, in-app extensibility, and key user extensibility options to ensure smooth upgrades and maintenance.
Apply SAP’s 3-Tier Extensibility model, working with RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) and CAP (Cloud Application Programming) models to build robust, scalable, cloud-based solutions using SAP BTP.
Develop user-friendly interfaces using SAP Fiori/UI5 and enhance SAP applications using modern ABAP techniques, including CDS views, AMDP, Native SQL, ADBC, External Views, Text Search, and ALV on HANA.
Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements, create technical specifications, and implement SAP solutions aligned with business needs.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP best practices, using SAP quality tools like SAP ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) for code inspection, optimization, and vulnerability detection.
Leverage SAP BTP Build, SAP Business Application Studio and Joule to design, develop, extend, and optimize business processes.
Implement SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and leverage SAP Build to enhance user experiences and improve application functionality.
Maintain technical documentation for all developed SAP solutions and ensure a smooth handover for future maintenance.
Stay updated with SAP’s latest technologies, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring ongoing alignment with evolving industry standards.

Practical experience with RAP and CAP models, leveraging SAP BTP.
