Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chinese Food Cook to prepare authentic and delicious dishes at Red Lantern. As a key member of our kitchen team, you’ll craft high-quality meals while maintaining efficiency and consistency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, noodle dishes, dim sum, and other specialties
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle special guest requests or dietary needs with care and precision
- Uphold Red Lantern’s commitment to exceptional culinary quality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably with expertise in Chinese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
