We are a performance-based, data-driven, and fast-paced American e-commerce startup headquartered in Newport Beach, California that specialises in marketing and selling a unique portfolio of products to consumers online.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of system health for high-concurrency PostgreSQL database systems ensuring the availability and consistent performance, supporting product development teams.Architect complex large data using AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS data lake (S3 and Glue) with IAM roles and KMS key encryption.Ensure database performance and scalability and implement Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Design and implement scalable database schemas and configurations, File system layout, Physical partitioning, Sharding and Replication, incremental backups, Restores, and recovery models.Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for PostgreSQLDevelop DevOps policies and procedures as it relates to the data platformCollaborate with developers on complex query tuning and schema refinement.Provides on-call support as part of team rotation for critical production systems.Requirements10+ years of experience with RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL in performance tuning configuration and high availability designs5+ years of experience with AWS, aurora, redshiftExperience with nosql, specifically MongoDBDesigning databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, high availability and performance.Proficient with common developer tool sets such as JSON, REST, Shell, Perl/Python scriptingExpert in database architecture and implementationPerformance Tuning, Parallel query, Query tuningDatabase partitioning strategiesExperience working with source control systems i.e., Gtihub, Gitlab, Bitbucket, etc.Able to work hand in hand with development teams and provide SQL review at design timePowered by JazzHReXWkMsBZnW
