School Counsellor

Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

· Provide individual and group counselling to students on personal, social, academic, and career issues

· Assist students in developing coping skills and strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional concerns

· Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students with learning, behavioural, or emotional difficulties

· Develop and implement intervention plans for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professionals

· Provide support and guidance to parents on parenting skills, child development, and behavioural management

· Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to promote a positive and inclusive school culture and climate

· Provide crisis intervention and support in case of emergencies or traumatic events

· Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and assessments

· Participate in professional development activities and stay up-to-date with best practices in counselling and education

Requirements:

· Graduation/Post Graduation in Psychology, Post Graduate in Child Development, or Graduate/Post Graduate with a Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling

· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a School Counsellor or in a related field

· Knowledge of child development, behavioural and learning disorders, and counselling techniques

· Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals

· Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and situations

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
