Job Description
We are seeking a School Health Coordinator to join our team at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating health care services with the Miami-Dade County Department of Public Health and other providers.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing and be able to apply their skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
Serving as a liaison between health providers and schools.
Coordinating on-site clinical services through partnerships with the Health Department.
Participating in case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
Collaborating with physicians to provide medical procedures and treatments.
Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering necessary items.
Documenting patient information and preparing clinical charts.
Administering medication as prescribed by physicians.
Providing quality patient care using nursing principles and techniques.
This role requires frequent travel within the county and occasional evening and weekend work. The successful candidate must hold licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse or eligibility to practice nursing in Florida.
