Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai for a Science Teacher. The Science Teacher will be responsible for facilitating and delivering Agastya's unique curriculum, teaching science and Design thinking in accordance with the program curriculum, and working with students, other program staff, and parents to ensure student success. The Science Teacher will also participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with other teachers to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience for students.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Science, or a related field required
• Experience teaching science curriculum to students in middle or high school
• Knowledge of and experience with experiential, hands-on pedagogy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
• Passionate about teaching and committed to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged students and communities
• Experience working with underprivileged communities and/or education a plus
