Job Description
We are seeking a Science teacher, starting at the beginning of Term 2, 2026. Teachers seeking
full or part time work are welcome to apply, as are applicants looking for permanent or
temporary contracts.
The College particularly welcomes applications from teachers with the skills to teach Physics
and Extension Science. Experienced applicants may be offered a role of Assistant Head of
Science.

Teaching and Learning
Construct teaching programs, based on applicable NESA syllabi, that will enable you to:
Orchestrate engaging lessons that maximise learning for all students in the class.
Effectively teach students with identified needs.
Provide meaningful feedback on the academic work students produce in a way that will
help them to improve.
Achieve strong academic results.
Conduct practical learning experiences using various technologies.
Other Responsibilities
Involvement in College activities and events including:
Contributing to the student wellbeing program, extra-curricular activities and camps.
Attending chapel, assemblies and other College activities.
Undertaking rostered playground or supervision duties.
Attending College events, including parent teacher meetings.
The Contract
All teachers at RHAC are employed under the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative
Multi Enterprise Agreement 2025 (MEA). The MEA outlines teacher’s salaries and their
employment rights and responsibilities.
Child Safety
The College actively promotes the safety and wellbeing of all students and requires all
prospective staff to be suitable and committed to protecting students from harm in the school
environment. The College implements the Child Safe Standards developed by the Office of
the Children’s Guardian. All College staff receive annual training in Child Protection.
