Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our Roads & Paving team. Reporting to the Foreman, the Asphalt Screed Operator is critical to delivering high-quality asphalt surfaces and requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and teamwork. This role will work closely with the Paver Operator and paving crew to ensure asphalt is placed, leveled, and finished to specification, producing a smooth, consistent surface.
How You’ll Add Value
Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
Operate the asphalt paver screed to achieve proper grade, depth, and surface finish
Adjust screed width, height, angle, and crown as required
Monitor asphalt flow and material consistency during paving operations
Work closely with the Paver Operator to maintain quality and productivity
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and site-specific requirements
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in as an Asphalt Screed Operator or on a Paving Crew
Strong understanding of asphalt paving techniques and specifications
Ability to read grades, slopes and paving plans
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
Note: Pre-employment Drug and ******* Testing and Fit for Work Testing will be required.
