Job Title: Exadata L2
Position: Systems Engineer
Experience: 4- 7 Years
Category: Infrastructure
Main location: India, Karnataka, Bangalore
Employment Type: Full Time
Responsibilities:
Member has 4 to 7 years of experience
Would be responsible for monitoring the alerts
Work on tickets assigned
Initial triaging of High Incident calls
Prepare RCA for High incident and problem tickets
Work on space related alerts and maintain adequate capacity with respect to space
Generate proactive reports for capacity management
Generate and analyze reports pertaining to performance related issues
Work with L3 team to implementing recommendations
Fix any backup related issues from the DB perspective
Perform patching and upgrade activities
Troubleshooting experience
Database and RAC Skill
Hands on experience of RAC, Database and ASM management
Solid understanding of RAC components and architecture
Performance tuning experience of RAC and database
Experience of ASM management and configuration
Day to day monitoring experience of RDBMS and RAC environment
Unix Skill
Good hands on LINUX/Solaris operating system
Basic knowledge of Unix shell scripting
Unix user management experience
Basic Unix administration
Patching skill
RDBMS and GRID patching experience
Migration Skill
DB migration from non-rac to RAC
Cross platform DB migration
Understanding of Golden gate would be preferred
Data guard administration and implementation
Monitoring Tool Skill
Installation and configuration of OEM 12c
Added to the above,
Collaborative support with Oracle Support
Co-ordination with Oracle SR support for patching, migration and upgrade RAC
Ready to work in night shift and flexible for other hours
Locations - Bangalore/Chennai
