Job Description
For the 2026/2026 school year, we are seeking a full-time German Language & Literature teacher to work in the secondary school, covering grades 5 through 12. You will also teach one or two other secondary subjects.
You will work closely with the school management in all matters and will support the school management in quality development.
As part of your role, you will regularly attend IB Diploma training sessions and integrate the outcomes into our school development initiatives.
You will regularly participate in regional training programs for German schools in North America and implement these outcomes in our school development.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
Ontario Teaching Certificate (OCT) in good standing preferred; other teacher licenses accepted.
1-2 years of classroom teaching experience; experience in a private school is an asset.
Experience with the IB Diploma Program is desirable but not required.
You are a native German speaker. You also have excellent written and spoken English skills. Your communication is transparent and characterized by mutual respect.
We expect a high level of subject expertise, a modern and diverse pedagogical skill set, and experience in differentiation and individualized teaching.
You have extensive experience with digital media and can develop a media curriculum for the school.
You bring enthusiasm to our team and demonstrate exceptional motivation, flexibility, and dedication.
By the start of your employment, you hold a valid work visa for Canada.
