Secondary Teaching Assistant - Rotherham

Academics are currently seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant in Rotherham to join our team on a temporary supply contract, starting as soon as possible. The position offers a competitive daily rate of £76 - £+0 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to ensure that students remain on task and maintain positive behaviour. This role is crucial in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), as well as working with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will also play a key role in upholding the school's safeguarding policy, ensuring that the highest standards of safety and care are maintained at all times.

The ideal candidate for this Secondary Teaching Assistant role will have:
• Experience in a secondary school environment.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 teaching assistant qualification.
• Additional qualifications including Team Teach/Positive Handling etc desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A flexible, adaptable attitude with a strong sense of initiative.
• Able to commute to Rotherham and surrounding areas.
