About the Role
Screens incoming calls; schedules appointments; responds to requests for information and handles routine and general problems; assists the Chair with the preparation of reports and correspondence; types letters, reports, and general and confidential correspondence; creates, reviews, archives and maintains electronic and paper based files and records; provides secretarial and administrative support to Department/Committees and administrative staff; provides clerical support for the management and administration of Department budgets, programs and services, including hiring and administration of SI/TA appointments and Course Experience Survey (CES); coordinates faculty appointments, renewals, tenure and promotion, leaves, and salary reviews; arranges travel; provides a range of secretarial and clerical support services for events. Provides administrative support to the Graduate Program Chair by responding to requests for Graduate Program information such as admission, registration, courses, and grading. Coordinates graduate program admissions and scholarships and processes awards. Prepares graduate program progress reviews, general correspondence, and reports and updates databases and spreadsheets.
