Job Overview:
The Security Lobby Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and employees at our facility. This role requires a professional demeanor, exceptional communication skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, monitoring access control, and providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
Maintain a visitor log and issue visitor badges as required.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Provide information and assistance to visitors and employees regarding facility policies and procedures.
Conduct regular security checks of the lobby and surrounding areas to identify and address any potential security issues.
Coordinate with security personnel and emergency services as needed in case of incidents or emergencies.
Assist in the implementation of security protocols and procedures to enhance safety within the facility.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to data protection regulations.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security management or customer service is a plus.
Proven experience as a receptionist, security officer, or in a similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience with security management software.
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures is preferred.
Must possess a valid security guard license (if applicable in the jurisdiction).
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Capable of performing security patrols as required.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
