Responsibilities
The Security Office I receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer
Performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry
Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations
Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PHC staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provides protective services to high risk areas
May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area
Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving
Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request

Description

The Security Office I receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PHC staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provides protective services to high risk areas. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree in Criminal justice, History, or English
• Prior experience in healthcare setting
