About the Role:
The Security Systems Administrator and Support Specialist at Spark New Zealand plays a critical role in maintaining and administering essential security infrastructure. The role involves system administration, technical support, oversight of security systems including Gallagher, Avigilon, Salto, and biometric technologies, project delivery, process and policy creation and review, and compliance with relevant security standards such as ISO27001 and TIA 942. The ideal candidate will have a background in security systems administration or extensive experience as a security technician, combined with a thorough understanding of modern security technologies, access control, and related legislative requirements.
Day to day you will be involved in:
Administer and manage security systems, ensuring operational effectiveness, reliability, and security compliance.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security systems, including Gallagher, Avigilon, and Salto.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of security systems.
Monitor the security system’s performance and conduct regular audits and maintenance.
Ensure adherence to Spark New Zealand’s security policies and best practices. Ensuring compliance with security certifications, standards, legislative requirements, and guidelines, specifically ISO27001 and TIA 942.
Deliver security-related projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.
Train and support system operators.
Conduct reporting and analytics driven from security systems and manage reported incidents effectively.
What experience you'll bring?
Experience with security systems such as Gallagher, Avigilon, and Salto.
Experience with biometric security solutions is highly advantageous.
Strong technical troubleshooting and systems administration skills.
Previous hands-on experience as a security technician or related role.
Knowledge of security infrastructure, best practices, and related legislative requirements.
Understanding of security certifications and standards, specifically ISO27001 and TIA 942.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.
Experience with reporting and analytics related to security systems.
