Based in Whitstable, TPF Recruitment , Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is working on behalf of a great local firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior Accountant to join their team in a general practice position across accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT. Our client is a multi-sited firm of chartered accountants and they have been established in the Kent market for many years. They're looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior or somebody who is studying the AAT or ACCA to join them in a progressive and rewarding career. Given the nature of the business, there are very good internal progression prospects on offer too.
You Will Be Responsible For
• Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage
• Assisting with management accounts production
• Personal taxation, corporate taxation and VAT returns
• General bookkeeping duties using Sage, Xero or QuickBooks
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees
Requirements
• You will have 1-5 years experience within an accountancy practice
• You will be studying AAT / ACCA or be qualified by experience
• You will have hands on experience of accounts, tax and VAT preparation
Benefits
• £25,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience and background, negotiable
