Job Title: SEND Class Teacher - Primary
Location: Acorn Park School, Norwich
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum - plus Welcome Bonus - Welcome Bonus is payable after completion of one month £1,000 and one further payment of £1,000 upon completion of your final probation period. Terms and Conditions Apply - (See attached)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

We are looking for an SEN Teacher to join our fantastic team at Acorn Park School. As a SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises students’ achievement and ability to develop.
About The Role
This is a great opportunity for a SEN Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.
When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a SEN Teacher, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.
Educated to Qualified Teacher Status you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.
Qualifications Required
• Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent); Degree or equivalent.
• PGCE or equivalent. QTS/ QTLS preferred.
• Primary experience preferred

Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk. On site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
