Your Role as a SEND Teacher
Deliver engaging, individualised lessons tailored to pupils with a range of learning needs
Monitor progress and adapt strategies to support every learner
Collaborate on and review IEPs with SENCOs and families
Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals
Uphold SEND legislation and school policies
Provide guidance to TAs and Learning Support staff
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Degree or PGCE in Primary, Secondary, or Special Education
Experience in SEND settings is a plus, but not essential
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and behaviour management
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A compassionate, proactive approach
Additional training in safeguarding or first aid is a bonus
