Position: Qualified Teacher
Location: Secondary School, Brent
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
An inclusive and dedicated special needs secondary school in South London, seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join the dynamic team. The school caters to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other complex needs, providing a supportive and nurturing environment to help each child thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD and more complex needs.
Create a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes independence, communication, and social skills.
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs) are effectively implemented.
Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet their evolving needs.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching and supporting children with ASD and more complex needs.
Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive educational experience for all students.
