Senior Accountant
A well-known telecommunications company located north of Boston is looking to add a Senior Auditor to their growing Finance Team. As the Senior Accountant, you will assist with the monthly financial close, journal entry prep, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation. This opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule and competitive pay!
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Own preforming analyses of profit and loss accounts for U.S. operations
• Own preforming balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring transactions are reported properly to support REIT and securitization reporting; and maintain internal control documentation and checklists, and audits to comply with the Sarbanes Oxley Act
• Analyze financial data and provide insights into the company's financial health
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Participate in financial audits and provide audit support as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or finance experience
• Experienced in Oracle Financials is preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
