Senior Accountant Role Summary:
This is a senior accounting position that requires leadership and advanced technical skills. The successful candidate will oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, implement credit control strategies, and manage payroll and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the accounts payable function to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices.
Direct the accounts receivable function, including strategic allocation of payments and optimization of cash flow.
Implement and manage advanced credit control strategies to minimize bad debt exposure.
Supervise preparation of detailed timesheets for weekly and fortnightly payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Oversee entire payroll process, including resolving complex payroll issues and integrating payroll data with financial systems.
Develop and present comprehensive budget reports to management team, projecting business profitability, and conducting variance analysis against actual performance.
Prepare and review Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS), and complex financial statements.
Conduct thorough audits of financial information, and prepare detailed general ledger entries, profit and loss statements, and other critical financial reports.
Analyze and interpret complex financial data to assess company performance and profitability, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
Participate in high-level strategic meetings, reporting on company's financial status to directors, and provide sophisticated financial planning and tax advisory services.
Design and implement internal controls and financial procedures to ensure integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead financial forecasting, risk management, and scenario planning activities to support long-term business goals.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm
