We are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. You must have the ability to work on complex products and to work collaboratively and flexibly across several inter-disciplinary teams.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Support the Month-End close by posting accurate and timely journal entries, including accruals, prepayments and amortization of assets.
Responsible for the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Managing monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate posting of bank entries.
Provide the SPT Labtech finance team with high quality data and information as requested on a timely basis.
Preparation of cash flow forecasts and assist with management of cash flow.
Responsible for reviewing and confirming monthly Intercompany balances.
Reconciliation of the credit card accounts and posting of the credit card expenses.
Reconciliation of Avalara Sales Tax reports and Accrued Sales Tax.
Manage Sales Tax notices and liaise with Tax advisors where needed.
Allocation of Healthcare costs across relevant GL codes.
Support the Staff Accountant with Cash applications and customer queries.
Assist with the annual financial audit, liaise with external auditors and provide accurate data in relation to the audit of US entities from a SPT Group and local statutory accounts perspective.
Assist with other ad hoc audits, such as Sales Tax and Property Tax audits.
Participate in communications with internal and external departments to ensure successful delivery of financial information.
Suggest process and efficiency improvements.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance team management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of four years’ post qualification experience. CPA or CMA is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with Foreign Exchange rates and FX revaluations.
Experience of supporting and guiding Staff Accountants/AP/AR team.
Self-motivated, independent, proactive and adaptable.
Strong financial controls and cash management experience.
Strong IT and systems skills, in particular MS Excel.
Experience in a manufacturing business is a plus.
