Title: Senior Accountant
Position Description
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and resourceful Senior Accountant to join its team. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across its brands.
In addition to day-to-day responsibilities described below, the Senior Accountant will support the development of accounting and reporting procedures for newly acquired brands and the implementation of a new ERP System.
Responsibilities
Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to booking, reconciling, and reporting financial activity.
· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries including fixed assets, payroll, reserve adjustments, prepaids and deposits
· Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
· Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
· Ensure all financial closing and reporting deadlines that have been assigned are met.
· Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
· Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
· Support the implementation of a new ERP system
· Assist with preparing PBC list for year-end audits.
· Assist in annual budget preparation and re-projections throughout the year.
· Maintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records, electronically and hardcopies, as necessary.
· Identify areas for process improvement and streamlining.
· Research technical accounting matters.
· Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
· Other Ad Hoc functions.
Qualification and Skills
· CA (Qualified or Intern can apply)
· 5 years practical accounting experience
· Mix of public audit and private experience a plus
· Knowledge of Tally Solutions/any other Accounting Software would be added advantage
· Experienced with month end close and journal entry process
· Strong analytical/planning skills, together with a strong accounting/control background
· Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Advanced knowledge of excel (formulas & macros
