A Senior Accountant is a professional with extensive accounting knowledge and experience who plays a critical role in the financial management of an organization. Their main responsibilities typically include:
• Financial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including Balance Sheets, P & L Account, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Accounting Operations: Overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, Sales, Purchase , General Ledger, Payroll, Interest, GST Return Filing, Bank Stock Statements, Bank Related communication.
• Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, develop forecasts, and prepare budgets, Liquidity Ratios, Debtors (Collection Period), Inventory Turnover, Interest Coverage, Leverage of Company, Preparing Sales Report showing Performance of parties shares in Sales Growth.
• Audit and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and coordinating with auditors during annual audits.
• Team Management: Supervising junior accounting staff and providing training and guidance as needed.
• Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Taxation: Preparing tax returns, maintaining tax records, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
To be successful in this role, a Senior Accountant should have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
Core Competency:
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and relevant certification (such as CPA or CMA) are typically required.
• Software Skills: MS Office, Accounting related softwares
• Proficiency in operation of Tally software
• Problem solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and result driven
• Communicate effectively to avoid ambiguity
• Good team player
Educational Qualification & Work Experience:
• 5+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• CMA/CPA preferred
And have proven and successful experience of:
• Working across cultural boundaries
• Communicating effectively, both internally and externally
Your working environment will be:
• Factory Office based
• Possible domestic travel for short or long durations for trainings, bank related work, GST related work or as required
