We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a fast-growing space startup in San Francisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing monthly and quarterly financial close cycles, global financial reporting and tax compliance for both US and international entities, and gain experience in equity and debt capital structure accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee monthly and quarterly close cycles, consolidate financial data, and prepare journal entries.
• Review income statement activities and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Scale accounting systems and processes to support future growth.
• Prepare account reconciliations and conduct profit and loss analysis for consolidated entities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and US GAAP reporting standards.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand and meet their accounting and reporting needs.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Research and apply proper accounting treatments for transactions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a strong understanding of US GAAP.
• 4 to + years of relevant experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm is required.
• Experience with high-growth companies.
• Ambitious and seeking career development opportunities.
• Proficiency in corporate accounting, consolidation processes, and intercompany transactions.
• Quick learner with keen attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset.
• Results-driven, able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
