LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an energy company located on the West Side in search of a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. In this job, you will be responsible for month-end close activities and providing footnotes each month. The candidate will work in conjunction with accounting teams, asset management, project finance, legal and IT. This job pays between $70K - $110K with additional bonus potential. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monthly, quarterly and annual consolidations, financial statements and closes
• Solely responsible for creating and providing footnotes and technical memos with all GAAP regulated considerations
• Financial analysis, internal control policies and procedure implementations, debt, equity and capital assets
• Journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, overhead allocations, intercompany transactions
REQUIREMENTS
• BS in Accounting (or equally related), MS in Accounting and/or CPA is preferred
• 2+ years of experience in similar accounting activities – MUST have prior experience writing technical accounting memos – no exceptions as this is absolutely required
• Experience working in an energy company, real estate or technology highly preferred
