Job Details
We are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the daily operations of our accounting department. This includes all aspects of the accounting function, including full close cycle accounting, accounts payable and receivable, preparation of monthly financial statements, and the annual financial review. You will also be responsible for ad-hoc reporting, tax review and preparation, accounts reconciliations, and general ledger upkeep. Experience with NetSuite is huge plus. Savvy Microsoft Excel experience is a MUST!
Responsibilities
• Participate in the daily operations of the accounting department including month-end and year-end close process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Follow proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Contribute in the completion of annual audits.
• Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Liaise with our Chief level executives as well as Senior Accounting and Finance Leaders to improve financial procedures where needed
Qualifications
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office (Excel), accounting software, and databases.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting experience.
• Advanced degree (Masters) in Accounting is a plus
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required
• High proficiency in using NetSuite software is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A solid understanding of US GAAP
