Senior Accounting manager (Hybrid role)
Fortune 100 company seeking Senior Accounting Manager in the manufacturing and distribution industry, based in Downers Grove, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for month end close, inventory and warranty accruals, working with SAP a must and mentoring staff accountant for this 200-million-dollar division of a multibillion-dollar fortune 100 company. Responsibilities
• Interact with corporate entities and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
• Conduct inventory accounting and analysis
• Engage in process improvements where necessary
• Assist in the development of Staff Accountants
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting close
• Support the Senior Accounting Manager with financial analysis and support for all inventory accounting and warranty accounting including inventory related reserves
• Lead the month-end close process and revenue recognition
• Develop reporting miscellaneous monthly accounting reserves, and prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Use software such as SAP and Microsoft Excel to manage data and information
• Conduct account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations, and prepare journal entries
• Handle tasks related to general ledger and month-end close
• Participate in inventory and warranty accruals.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 6 plus years of accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution, construction and retail industry
• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations, Proven experience in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience in Inventory accruals, Month End Close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Experience in SAP a must ; may consider other ERP systems
• Experience in Inventory accruals
• Knowledge of Accruals and their application in accounting practices
