Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our firm.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the insurance or workers compensation industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
