Senior Accountant – Thriving Marketing Company
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Work Arrangement: Initially in-office for 3-6 months, with the potential for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in-office thereafter.

Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant
• Manage general ledger activities, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Provide key support for month-end close, budgeting, and tax compliance in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of general ledger accounts such as AP, AR, accruals, prepaids, inventory, intercompany accounts, and fixed assets.
• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain internal control measures and safeguards for receipts, payments, fixed assets, and transaction recording.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with GAAP guidelines.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring all audit requirements are met in a timely manner.
Qualifications For The Senior Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in a dynamic, high-volume environment, preferably with a background in manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in technical accounting, including debits and credits, inventory flow, prepaids versus accruals, and a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
• Ability to seamlessly adapt to new accounting ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
