illumifin is looking for a new Senior Accountant to add to our finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within our organization. Additional responsibilities of the role will also include:
• Perform a variety of tasks, utilizing experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while working independently as well as in a team environment.
• Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reporting statements, including quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
• Journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
• Assist with the day to day accounting operations.
• Prepare State filings and tax returns.
• Research and resolve accounting issues.
• This is a full time position with overtime on an as needed basis.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business with 3+ years experience accounting experience
• Month end close process
• Client facing abilities
• Understands Debit and Credits
• Industry knowledge preferred with Med Supp, Annuities or TPA/client work
• MS Excel
Preferred experience: AS 400 or iSeries, Great Plains or MS Dynamics
