Working for this mid-size, well respected accountancy firm as a Senior Client Manager, you’ll lead and develop a team of around 5 to form trusting relationships with a portfolio of inspiring small business clients and ensure that their every accounting need is anticipated and provided for.
Salary – From £42,500, negotiable DOE
Location – Waterlooville
Role Type – Permanent / Full Time / Mon-Fri / +-5 Mon-Thu / +-4 Fridays
Benefits – 20 Days Holiday (increasing with service) + BH, Pension, Medical Cover options, 3 Days additional holiday over Xmas shutdown + more.
The Role
Managing the team, you’ll conduct individual performance reviews and return-to-work interviews within the accounting team, assisting with performance monitoring, and developing internal systems under the Accountancy Manager's guidance. The role also involves managing client portfolios, which includes preparing, sending, and submitting accounts and tax returns for various entities such as Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
Regular communication with clients through various channels and onboarding new clients are key aspects of the job. Additional duties encompass providing client advice on tax positions, cashflow, and budgeting, reviewing and preparing bookkeeping and VAT returns, executing year-end meetings, and conducting client fee reviews. The role requires interaction with HM Revenue & Customs to resolve queries and providing external client training.
Applicants must have over five years of experience in a fast-paced accountancy practice, demonstrate proficiency in client meetings, and be skilled in using software like Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, and Free Agent. A sound understanding of tax principles and membership to a relevant professional body are required.
