Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks including
• Ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of all accounting tasks.
• Managing all aspects of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Handling payroll functions for a large team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements.
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Collaborating with other finance team members to drive efficiency and effectiveness in all accounting processes.
• Assisting with tax preparation and audits.
• Providing financial analysis and forecasting.
• Supporting the financial decision-making process by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will possess the following qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the medical industry.
• Proven experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
• CPA certification is a plus.
