Job Description for Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable accounting standards.
2. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant tax laws.
4. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
5. Stay updated on industry best practices, accounting principles, and regulatory changes, and assess their impact on the organization.
6. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
4. Proficiency in Marg software is must.
5. Experience with advanced Excel functions is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
Salary: ₹24,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
