We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and a thorough understanding of real estate financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow activities, including reconciliations, cash position analysis, and variance reporting.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including property taxes, income taxes, and sales taxes.
• Coordinate with auditors during financial audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Conduct financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
