Role Summary
We are looking for a warm, patient, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant (3-5 yrs) who can both keep our books spotless and stay on top of project-level budgets and milestones. You will steer daily QuickBooks activity, deliver audit-ready GAAP/SEC reports, and run simple project trackers so management always knows where each initiative stands.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & QuickBooks Management – Post daily transactions, reconcile bank/credit-card feeds, manage A/R & A/P, and close the books monthly.
Financial Reporting – Prepare and review timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules.
Project Management & Coordination – Maintain a simple project dashboard (budget, timeline, owner、milestones); host weekly check-ins; escalate delays or budget overruns.
Audit Coordination – Provide clean workpapers and reconciliations; respond to auditor requests and implement adjustments promptly.
Regulatory Compliance – Monitor SEC and other statutory requirements; ensure filings and disclosures meet public-company standards.
Controls & Risk – Evaluate internal accounting procedures, pinpoint control gaps, and recommend improvements.
Budgeting & Cash-Flow Forecasts – Prepare rolling 12-month forecasts and variance analyses for leadership review.
Process Improvement – Streamline systems (QuickBooks, Excel, Power BI; Smartsheet/Asana a plus) to boost speed and accuracy.
Regulatory Awareness – Track emerging GAAP / SEC updates and incorporate them proactively.
Qualifications
Education – Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience – 3-5 years progressive accounting; public-company or audit exposure strongly preferred; prior project-accounting or budget-tracking experience is a plus.
Technical – Advanced QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and Excel; comfortable with GL systems and basic project-management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
Knowledge – Solid US GAAP; working familiarity with SEC reporting.
Soft Skills – Exceptional attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple deadlines, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Language – Fluent English and Mandarin.
