Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Accountant with Sumit Chordia & Associates - Chartered Accountants located in Guwahati. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing accounts payable/receivable, preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Xero, and Tally, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with a client-focused approach
• Certification as a Chartered Accountant is preferred, but not required
