Responsibilities
We are looking to add a detail-oriented and highly skilled Assistant Controller to our finance team
This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving efficiency in accounting processes
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies
Oversee the general ledger to ensure all entries are properly recorded and reconciled
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Perform cost accounting functions, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and analyzing manufacturing variances
Work closely with production and inventory teams to analyze costs, efficiencies, and profitability of products
Review and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed
Prepare and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring that all required documentation is provided and questions are addressed promptly
Maintain and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including regulatory reporting requirements
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances against actual results
Support the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reporting as required
Assist with process improvements and system upgrades to streamline financial processes
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing support and training as needed
