Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills
Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and overhead allocation in a manufacturing environment
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the preparation of key financial reports
This role will work closely with the finance team, management, and other departments to provide timely and accurate financial information
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Oversee inventory costing and variance analysis for manufacturing operations
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for management, internal and external stakeholders
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards (GAAP)
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
Work with the management team to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting accuracy
Support audit preparation, tax filings, and compliance activities
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff
Perform other ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
