Senior Accountant

Responsibilities of the Candidate :

· Perform general accounting, support , and month end activities on Tally Prime

· Produce month/year end reporting, entity level management accounts

· Review and analyse information from the general ledger and other accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness, and take corrective action, as appropriate

· Preparation of Annual Budgets and Rolling estimates

· Budget vs Actuals monitoring and control ( monthly )

· Prepare Cost sheets and pricing sheets once plant operational with support of Plant accounts staff

· Inventory control and inventory valuation ( with assistance of stores in charge )

· Adhere to deadlines at all times.

· Prepare Balance Sheet & P&L analysis , working capital & debtors outstanding ( credit control ) analysis & various MIS reports under guidance of CFO

· Support in the preparation of various MIS & financial reports for the company

· Address audit enquiries / investigation & liase with statutory auditors

· Perform project cost control , fixed asset processing to enable reporting and Capital expenditure management of the new greenfield plant of the company

· Export Procedures

· Workings/filings of GST and TDS returns

· Be proactive in issue resolution, the provision of feedback and the delivery of ideas to develop and improve solutions

· Maintain confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines

· Maintain Independence of Finance function and assist CFO being the conscience keeper of the entity’s financial and statutory sanctity

· Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability

· Undertake any regulatory submissions and be a point of contact for regulatory bodies

Desired Candidate Profile

· Should be a Inter CA /CMA , with at least 4-5 years of Industry experience

· Good communication and analytical skills

· Conceptually sound in accounting and costing concepts incl Management accounting concepts like ROI , Cash Flows , ratio analysis etc

· Should have experience working with Balance sheet, P&L, month end closing, GL, generating Trial Balance and P&L and Balance Sheet that flows from TB ( monthly basis ) ,

· Knowledge of Tax Provisions, and Tax Returns ( GST , Income tax, Customs and Export Procedures ) , etc

· Ability to conceptualize and implement analytical MIS that helps senior leadership to control the business

· Team player , at the same time maintain independence of the Finance function

· Fluency in Tally and MS office , esp excel

· Readiness to travel to site in Coimbatore
