Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing construction company in Orange, CA. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Controller with the company's daily accounting operations. This position ensures that all accounting records and processes comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities:
• Compile monthly financial data, perform variance analysis, and reconcile balance sheets, including work-in-progress (WIP) accounts.
• Assist the Controller with year-end reviews, audits, and various tasks.
• Support the Controller in preparing and filing taxes.
• Manage the Fixed Assets Schedule.
• Handle government filings and city business licenses.
• Oversee business insurance renewals and audits.
• Assist with Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) administration.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Ability to multitask, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Experience with software integrations; familiarity with Sage 300 preferred.
• Full-time, exempt employee (40-45 hours per week expected).
