Senior Accountant
Our client (a digital cloud software) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This role involves supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, financial reporting, and ownership of relevant accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to efficiently support business scale, collaborating cross-functionally with FP&A, revenue ops, revenue accounting, and operational teams.
• Manage Partner fees, ACS 606 Commissions, Leases, Accruals, Fixed assets, and Prepaid accounting processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization.
• Supervise an accounting operations specialist.
• Provide financial insights and relevant reporting to business partners, including FP&A.
• Support acquisition integrations.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA or working towards becoming a CPA required.
• 4+ years of experience.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience within the tech industry (preferred).
• Good understanding of financial statements and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting for Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepaids, Leases, and ACS 606 Commissions (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with NetSuite (a plus).
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $100K - $115K per year.
