We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Lowell, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including financial reporting and analysis, closing activities at the end of the month, and budget oversight. You will also be supervising junior staff members, ensuring all financial operations are executed accurately and effectively.
Responsibilities
• Oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to aid in strategic decision making.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.
• Develop and manage organizational budgets.
• Supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining the integrity of financial information.
• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accurate representation of business transactions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Use SAP for various accounting operations and financial management.
• Conduct financial planning and analysis to support business objectives.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Generate monthly financial reports for management review.
• Prepare financial reports for external stakeholders as required.
Requirements
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is mandatory.
• Must have solid experience in handling General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Should be adept at using Microsoft Excel for various accounting operations.
• Experience in Month End Close activities is required.
• Knowledge of SAP software for accounting tasks is necessary.
• Must possess skills in Financial Analysis and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A).
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation and Monthly Financial Reporting is crucial.
• Ability to Prepare Financial Reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Should have experience in Budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Candidate must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
