Job Description
This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, provide financial insights to management, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
• Financial Accounting :
• Oversees the day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Prepares accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
• Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
• Manages the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Financial Analysis :
• Conducts in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential risks.
• Prepares financial forecasts and budgets.
• Provides financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
• Team Management :
• Supervises and mentors junior accounting staff.
• Assigns tasks and responsibilities.
• Provides training and development opportunities.
• Audit and Tax Support :
• Coordinates with external auditors for annual audits.
• Prepares and reviews tax returns.
• Ensures compliance with tax regulations.
• Process Improvement :
• Identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
• Implements new accounting systems or software as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
