Job Responsibilities
1. Budgets & financial structuring
Understand current budget structures and systems
Review and apply global best practices in financial management and budgeting
Create 5 year, 3 year and 1 year budgets for the organization
Prepare financing plans for the budgets
2. Accounting Controls, Processes & Vendor Management
Review, create and own all internal accounting processes and protocols
Manage accounting workflows with senior managers and accountants
Cash flow management
Ensure full compliance with budgets
Onboard new vendors, manage banking partners
3. Management Information Systems (MIS)
Review and manage formats for monthly, quarterly and annual information systems
Coordinate with Accounts team to ensure timely generation of MIS
Present MIS to senior management with recommendations
4. Partner reporting
Prepare grant requests, invoices, utilisation statements etc.
Ensure periodic financial reporting to donors
Participate in budget and utilisation discussions with partners
5. Compliance and Disclosures
Ensure monthly compliances with statutory payments
Work with accountants and auditors in audit and preparation of yearly financial statements
Work with accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with all non-profit regulations and industry good governance practices
EXPERIENCE:
Postgraduate degree in Finance or Commerce, with CA qualification preferred.
Minimum 5 - 7 years of work experience in the Finance domain, preferably in the development sector, especially budgets, MIS, donor reporting Very strong knowledge of applications like Excel
Working knowledge of Tally beneficial
