• Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles including GL, AR, AP, asset management, tax configuration, and bank accounting.
• Proficiency in configuring financial processes such as automatic payment programs, dunning, foreign currency handling, and financial closing.
• Ability to write functional specifications for reports, enhancements, and financial interfaces.

Senior Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified accountant with a solid understanding of financial accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monthly management accounts preparation, collaborating with teams across various functions, and providing insights into financial variances.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monthly Management Accounts Preparation: Preparation and review of the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties.
• Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with Finance Managers in the UK and Operations teams to ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
• VAT Returns: Prepare and review VAT returns for the properties in compliance with local tax regulations.
• Property-Focused Financial Analysis: Support the financial management of a portfolio of properties, including a new fund with four properties.

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Intermediate Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) is essential.

Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
