• Conduct monthly account reconciliations and perform flux analysis to provide insights into financial performance.
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to support best practices and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and compliance testing.
• Analyze variances in actual, budget, and forecasted data, providing detailed explanations and actionable insights.
• Support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on automation and efficiency enhancements.
• Act as the primary financial liaison between operations and finance, addressing inquiries related to payroll, accounts payable, and revenue reimbursement.
Qualifications
• Must-Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial concepts such as budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar ERP systems.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Inherent curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying process improvement opportunities.
