Overview:
The Senior Accounting Specialist is a vital role within our client's finance team, responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including accounts payable processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting. This individual will utilize their technical accounting skills to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Responsibilities:
• Process daily accounts payable transactions, invoices, employee expenses, receipts, ACH, and returned payments
• Ensure correct approvals and backup are set in place
• Communicate with various departments, employees, and external parties
• Reconcile month-end duties as assigned
• Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate accounting policies and procedures
• Facilitate year-end audit preparation
• Ensure information is entered in a timely manner and all payments are made on time
• Qualifications:
• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable experience preferred
• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or transactional accounting
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Prior experience with financial or banking general ledger software
• Ability to make sound decisions and work through things with a high attention to detail
